Common questions about billing and plans
Do signers need to create an account or pay?
No. Signers open a secure, tokenized link, complete the ID check, sign, and finish. They never pay and never need an account. Most people use Signitri exactly once.
Am I charged for signers?
No. Verification is included in the plan price, and a signer never pays and never needs an account. Each plan does include a monthly document allowance and a limit on how many signers one document can carry, because verifying a person against a government ID costs us something every time it happens.
How are seats counted?
You pay only for the people on your team who create and send documents. Someone who signs a document never needs a seat, and signing itself is free.
What counts as a single document?
A document is counted once when it is sent for signature, however many pages it has and however many people sign it. A draft you never send does not count. Sending is what counts: once it has gone out it stays counted, even if you cancel it or nobody ends up signing, because the signers have been invited and their identity checks are ours to pay for either way.
What happens if we go over the monthly limit?
Nothing stops working mid-signature. A document already in flight always completes. By default sending pauses until the next month or an upgrade, and nothing is charged. If you would rather keep sending, a workspace owner can turn on additional documents in Billing and set a monthly spend cap. They are then charged at your plan rate, $3 each on Personal and $2 on Team, and sending pauses at the cap you set. Nobody is ever billed for an overage they did not turn on.
What happens if a verification needs manual review?
Someone on our side reviews it, usually within the hour and never more than one business day. The signer gets a clear status and can safely close the page while we work through it.
Can we export our documents and evidence logs?
Yes. You can download signed PDFs, evidence packs and audit logs at any time, as PDF and CSV. Enterprise adds bulk export.
